Carnival Cruise Line names new chief information officer

Sean Kenny has been named as senior vice president and chief information officer for Carnival Cruise Line.
 
Kenny has commenced the new role and reports to Carnival chief financial officer James Heaney.
 
He will head up the technology development team at Carnival and work alongside Carnival’s sister brands on long-term technology strategy.
 
"Sean has a broad and deep background in IT and is well positioned to lead us into the future as we continue to evolve our extremely important IT function both ashore and on board our fleet of ships," Heaney said.
 
Kenny previously worked in global consulting and at Dallas based EDS he was responsible for global IT transformation with clients such as American Airlines, Delta and Marriott.  
 
Prior to joining Carnival he was at Ernst & Young Consulting as a global client services executive for Fortune 200 accounts.
 
It was his second stint at Ernst & Young where he was previously managing partner for major clients including the Port of Seattle and McDonnell Douglas.
