Carnival shares cruise ahead

Travel and tourism shares slid back slightly yesterday as London’s main equity indices made limited progress.

The FTSE 100 index added seven points to close at 4735.2, while the broader-based FTSE 250 gained 35.7 points to end the day at 6793.6.

Most industry stocks dropped back – the big exception was Carnival, which added 73p to close at 3059p after releasing impressive results, as reported by TravelMole.
