A new style cabin designed for families is to feature on Carnival Cruise Lines’ largest new ship Carnival Dream.

The 3,646-passenger vessel, due to enter service in September, will include a new category of family cabins which include a second bathroom.

The two-bathroom configuration will include one full bathroom and a second featuring a junior tub with shower and sink.

Some cabins will be able to accommodate five passengers.

More than half of the ship’s cabins will have an ocean view and 887 will include balconies.

The 130,000-ton Carnival Dream is due to enter service on September 21 with a 12-day Grand Mediterranean cruise from Rome (Civitavecchia).

The line’s 23rd vessel will run two further 12-day Mediterranean cruises on October 3 and 15 before sailing to New York and repositioning in Port Canaveral to begin year-round seven-day day Caribbean cruises from December 5.

Carnival Dream will feature a two-level miniature golf course, four “scenic whirlpools” cantilevered out over the sea, an aqua park, an entertainment complex and an outside film screen.
