Casino giant Wynn Resorts plans to bring ‘gaming’ to UAE
Casino operator Wynn Resorts inked a multibillion-dollar deal in Ras al-Khaimah, UAE.
It plans a 1,000-room hotel with 10 restaurants and lounges, a spa, a convention centre, shopping, and a ‘gaming area.’
Wynn declined to say whether that involves gambling.
Ras al-Khaimah’s government communications office likewise refused to say whether gambling would be allowed in the emirate.
Work on the Wynn resort is set for completion in 2026, and will be located on Al Marjan, a man-made island.
Gambling remains forbidden in the Gulf state, but news of the deal spurred speculation that could change.
Caesars Entertainment signed a deal in 2018 to operate a non-gaming hotel in Dubai.
