Voting has opened for the 2016 European Group Travel Awards, which recognise companies and individuals that deliver outstanding services and experiences to group travellers.

Each nominee has been selected by a panel of industry experts. There are 20 award categories, covering hotels, airlines, destinations, cruise lines and attractions.

Two new categories this year are Best Golf Resort for Groups and Best Independent Hotel Brand for Groups.

"We’ve had a tremendous amount of growth over the last year in group travel, especially in Europe, and want to recognise the companies that specialise in group travel who have made a great impact within the industry," stated Tim Hentschel, CEO of organiser HotelPlanner.

"EGTA was created to build awareness of suppliers that provide group services to the marketplace, plus recognize the contributions these providers contribute on a global scale to make group travel successful and enjoyable."

For a full list of nominees go to europeangrouptravelawards.com where you can also place your vote.

The black-tie awards gala will take place on Thursday March 10 at the InterContinental Berlin and back for a second year in a row, former MSNBC television host, TV journalist, and documentary film producer Dylan Ratigan will be hosting.
