Cathay suspends UK to Hong Kong flights
Cathay Pacific has cancelled flights from the UK to Hong Kong until 25 January and all flights from Hong Kong to the UK for the rest of this week.
From next week, it will operate a limited number of one-way flights from Hong Kong to London Heathrow for those customers who need to fly to the UK.
Flights will operate from Hong Kong to Heathrow on January 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 21 and 24.
The scheduled flight to Manchester on 15 January is cancelled.
The cancellations follow a decision by Hong Kong to ban anyone who has
spent more than two hours in the UK within the previous 21 days.
Hong Kong has also extended its mandatory quarantine for all new arrivals to 21 days. Arrivals must quarantine at designated hotels and foot the bill themselves. The quarantine could be extended to 28 days without notice.
