Cathay to launch premium economy
Chief executive John Slosar said that it would be “a real upgrade over economy".
The new product will be available on all of Cathay's long-haul routes and on medium haul flights to Australia and the Middle East.
“The seat will be more like a regional business class seat," said Solsar. "We’ll have great recline and plenty of leg space."
Premium economy will also offer an upgrade meal service and "little extras" to ensure passengers feel they are getting value for money, he said.
The premium economy seats will be installed on aircraft at the same times as the new Business Class. It will be on most of the fleet by the end of 2012.
