Cebu Pacific to fly daily to Sydney
The Philippines biggest budget carrier Cebu Pacific Air is increasing service to Sydney from Manila to daily, up from the current five flights weekly.
The route goes daily from December 1, thanks to strong demand, said Candice Iyog, the airline’s vice president for marketing and distribution.
"The additional frequency between Manila and Australia reflects our commitment to reinforce the Cebu Pacific effect across one of our strongest international markets. We want to offer our year-round low-fares that are affordable, accessible and available to a greater number of travellers."
Cebu Pacific has a market share of 42% on the route, according to Australia’s Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics.
Traffic on the route is up 7% year-on-year.
Cebu Pacific now serves more than 60 destinations including Dubai, Tokyo, Beijing and Bali.
