Celebrity Edge unveiled
Celebrity Cruises has unveiled Celebrity Edge to the US market.
The ship arrived in Port Everglades following a 15-day transatlantic crossing.
The ship’s unique outward-facing design connects guests more closely to the ocean than ever before, including open-air plunge pools and 270 degree views, an outdoor Rooftop Garden, a Magic Carpet suspended from the side of the ship and the only place to peloton bike race at sea.
The Magic Carpet moves 14 decks up and down the exterior of the ship, offering different experiences ranging from an exclusive restaurant, Dinner on the Edge, to an embarkation lounge for the ship’s private luxury launches.
The 2,900-guest ship will be officially named and launched by UN Messenger of Peace and Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai on December 4.
The ship has 29 restaurants, cafes, bars and lounges, including Le Petit Chef, where dinner is brought to life through engaging digital animation.
Guests will also enjoy a generous spa and fitness center, designed by Kelly Hoppen.
The ship is the first of four new vessels being delivered between now and 2022.
Celebrity Edge’s inaugural season of eastern and western Caribbean cruises begins on December 9.
