Celebrity places its bet on nightclubs
What do cruisers want? More nightclubs and lounges, says Celebrity Cruises.
The cruise line’s new Celebrity Solstice next year will offer everything from an intimate wine cellar to a noisy dance ship.
“The 2,850-guest ship will offer guests some of the most stylish and varied public spaces at sea,” says the company.
“Our Solstice-class fleet will present several entirely new venues, along with creative twists on some of our guests’ longtime favorites,” said Celebrity Cruises President and CEO Dan Hanrahan.
The sophisticated Cellar Masters wine bar will deliver wines by the glass and bottle, with sommelier service.
Cellar Masters also will present the Riedel comparative wine-tasting program introduced across the Celebrity fleet this year.
Another nightclub venue, the Ensemble Lounge, pairs classical architectural elements with whimsical patterns suggesting the ebb and flow of varied music rhythms with a wide variety of music.
The new ship will also have a Fortunes Casino, which Celebrity says will be the equal of European ambiance. With 16 gaming tables, it will be also be the largest casino in the Celebrity fleet.
Celebrity Solstice will make its maiden voyage next 14 December on a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., visiting San Juan, Puerto Rico; Basseterre, St. Kitts; and Phillipsburg, St. Maarten.
