Celebrity spends $55m on ship upgrade
Celebrity Cruises is adding more than 300 balconies to the Century, part of a plan for structural and general updates of the decade-old ship.
The Century, which now has about 60 balcony cabins, will get 314 balconies. The project will also add 24 new cabins, both suites and standard staterooms.
Other additions include an alternative restaurant, and a martini and champagne bar.
Celebrity is also upgrading other areas of the ship, including the addition of flat-panel TVs and high-sped internet connectivity.
