Cendant appoints UK and Ireland chief
Galileo parent Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TDS) has appointed Alison Bell as regional director for UK and Ireland.
In the newly created role Ms Bell, who was previously managing director for Galileo Ireland, will have responsibility for developing Galileo’s traditional business with travel agents as well as focusing on the GDS firm’s role as part of the wider Cendant TDS division. In a statement the company said she would also be tasked with developing new business streams within Cendant ”for example in the corporate on-line, consumer on-line and hospitality arenas.”
Ms Bell said she would soon be appointing country managers in the UK and in Ireland to drive Galileo sales in the region.
She began her career with Galileo Ireland in 1999 as sales and marketing manager and was promoted to managing director in 2003.
