Charter Tahiti’s boutique 5* cat for family or group

Thursday, 03 Sep, 2007 0

An opportunity for families or friends to come together on virtually their own motor yacht in Tahiti with their own crew, or for companies to reward high-producing staff for a job well done, is to charter the boutique 14-cabin motor-catamaran Haumana in the remote and idyllic Tuamotu Archipelago.

Haumana [pictured right] normally caters for a maximum of just 28 holidaymakers soaking up the sun and the 5* star good life amongst the sparsely-populated islands of the Rangiroa and Tikehau Lagoons, but is also available for exclusive value-priced group chartering for three, four or seven nights.

And it includes services of all officers, crew, chefs, dining and sports staff –  even a full-time resident fishing guide – as well as Jet Skiing, kayaking, visits to unspoiled beaches for reef-snorkelling and Scuba-diving, to watch dancing in remote villages, spot dolphins, feed the sharks, and entertainment.

There’s even an almost Hollywood 4-star beach picnic at tables set in a lagoon with wines included and aboard Haumana wines are complimentary as well with traditional French and Tahitian-inspired lunches and dinners, all soft drinks are free throughout cruises and there’s a Jacuzzi in which to relax.

For full details and prices for family, friends or corporate charters, Paradise Adventures on (02) 8799 2500 or  www.paradiseadventures.com.au

Dress aboard the Australian-built Haumana is casual in a typically friendly Polynesian ambience, and after days ashore guests return aboard to a welcome by ukulele-strumming crew as the sun sets over the lagoon.

Dining in the panoramic restaurant includes plenty of local seafoods and tropical fruits and vegetables, and after a nightly musical show guests retire to spacious 15sq metre cabins with queen-size beds and huge picture windows.
