China Eastern Airlines hit with temporary flight ban on New York-Shanghai route
China Eastern Airlines has been hit with a temporary flight ban by China’s Civil Aviation Administration. There were 10 positive Covid cases on a flight from New York to Shanghai recently.
That means a month-long flight ban on the New York -Shanghai route according to CAAC rules.
The regulator has imposed more than 100 temporary suspension orders on domestic and overseas airlines that have brought passengers into the country that turned out to be Covid positive even after pre-departure negative tests were verified.
