Choice Hotels adding 27 new WoodSpring Suites hotels
Choice Hotels International has inked a deal to develop 27 new WoodSpring Suites hotels.
The new hotels will be built in multiple locations in Michigan and North Carolina, as well as Jacksonville, Fla. and Nashville, Tenn.
The new expansion is in addition to the pipeline of the brand’s 35 hotels expected to open in 2019.
Choice sealed the deal with Common Oaks Lodging LLC, a new subsidiary of Concord Hospitality.
"The WoodSpring Suites brand has reenergized Choice’s entire extended-stay portfolio," said Ralph Thiergart, vice president and general manager, extended stay brands, Choice Hotels.
Choice Hotels awarded 75 new WoodSpring Suites franchise agreements last year and opened 14 hotels in locations including Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, Detroit and Charlotte, N.C.
WoodSpring Suites is the fastest growing brand across all Choice Hotels’ economy segment, the company said.
