Christmas in Europe with Trafalgar & The Australian Women’s Weekly

Sunday, 17 May, 2007 0

Due to an overwhelming response to the inaugural The Australian Women’s Weekly and Trafalgar Tours Christmas in Europe Discovery Tour 06/07, Trafalgar has announced this tour will again be available for Christmas 07/08, departing 20 December.

Paul Wiseman, managing director Trafalgar Tours, said “Last year’s Christmas in Europe Discovery Tour was so popular we added an additional coach, however a number of clients still missed out as we wanted to maintain the intimacy and exclusivity of the tour.

“As a limited, one-off departure, we expect demand will again be high this year and therefore encourage agents to offer this fantastic holiday to their valued clients and recommend they book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.”

Clients will be able to meet their fellow travellers and Tour Director at a welcome dinner in London before travelling to cosmopolitan Brussels.

Visit Cologne’s famous Christmas market before heading to medieval Heidelberg and Strasbourg .  They will spend Christmas high in the Swiss Alps in Engelberg, where they’ll be treated to a Swiss-style festive dinner and a sleigh ride in the snow.

The tour then continues to Salzburg, Vienna with a highlight visit to Schönbrunn Palace, then onto Venice.

In Rome clients will enjoy an unforgettable New Year’s Eve admiring the spectacular fireworks display over the city’s timeless monuments before travelling through Tuscany to renaissance Florence, onto the chic French Riviera and the gastronomic capital of Lyon, with the final two nights on the Continent in Paris.

Clients will enjoy exquisite cuisine on this holiday, with a number of highlight meals to sample the local specialties, including a traditional English pub dinner; classic “Moules Frites” in Brussels; Swiss-style festive Christmas Eve dinner with drinks; traditional Swiss Christmas lunch with drinks; hearty Austrian fare at a Viennese restaurant; spectacular seafood lunch on the island of Burano; gala New Year’s Eve dinner with drinks in Rome; dinner at a typical Florentine restaurant; classic cuisine at a local French restaurant and dinner in a colourful Parisian bistro.

The exclusive tour departs London on 20 December, 2007. The 20-day Christmas in Europe Discovery Tour, is priced from $6999 (per person, twin share, land only), and includes first-class hotel accommodation, breakfast daily, ten highlight meals, dinner most nights, sightseeing with local guides and special inclusions, touring by luxury coach, airport transfers and a charming Trafalgar Tour Director to answer all your clients’ questions.

Clients will also receive a bonus six-month subscription to The Australian Women’s Weekly or a six-month extension for current subscribers.

This unique holiday experience is strictly limited so agents are advised to encourage clients to book early to avoid disappointment. A flyer on this tour is available on Trafalgar’s website www.trafalgar.com and will be distributed by Templar.
