Citilink Launching Jakarta-Labuan Bajo daily route
Garuda Indonesia’s low cost carrier Citilink Indonesia will soon offer easier access to the famed dragons of Komodo.
It is opening a new direct route from Jakarta to Labuan Bajo, Flores – the gateway to the Komodo National Park.
Flights kick off daily from October 29.
Citilink will use its latest 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft on the route, which is expected to give the region a significant boost in tourism revenue, says Ranty Astari Rachman, Citilink Indonesia VP.
"We know Labuan Bajo is a world-class tourism destination. The opening of a new route to Labuan Bajo is Citilink’s support in the development of national tourism. We hope that the presence of Citilink will further facilitate mobility of tourists to Labuan Bajo."
Labuan Bajo is one of four Indonesian destinations earmarked for accelerated tourism development alongside Mandalika in Lombok, Lake Toba, Sumatra and Borobudur Temple in Java.
