Civil Aviation Authority proposes improvements to airspace change process
The Civil Aviation Authority proposed simplifying guidance for airspace changes.
It aims to help improve the process for airports and air navigation services.
Known as CAP1616, the new proposals will make its guidance easier to understand.
First published in 2018, the CAA committed to review the process after three years.
Jon Round, Head of Airspace, said: “As an organisation we strive to keep learning and improving.”
“Our proposals will make sure the airspace change process is easier to understand.”
The improvements have been proposed following engagement with industry.
The UK Civil Aviation Authority is now seeking views on its consultation.
The consultation period is open until 5 March 2023.
