CLIA hosts largest ever river cruise conference
CLIA UK & Ireland hosted its annual river conference RiverView with a record number of delegates.
There are almost 400 in attendance for the Vienna conference.
It is the first time it was held in Vienna
Attendees were given the opportunity to join conference sessions, a trade fair, local excursions, and visit or stay overnight on a selection of river cruise ships.
These include Riverside Mozart, Avalon Envision and TUI Maya.
A number of cruise lines agreed to fund the best ideas from travel agents to help grow their sales.
More details on these initiatives will be released in due course.
CLIA has also announced a specialist in-person learning day on October 5, 2023 to enhance agents’ knowledge of river, expedition and luxury cruising.
Everyone passing will receive formal certification.
CLIA will additionally launch a new, interactive RiverView learning module.
