CLIA provides agents with new search tool

Wednesday, 12 Nov, 2014 0

A new tool designed to make it easier to sell cruises has been made available exclusively to CLIA agent from today.

‘Meet the Fleet’ is a digital fact file that contains details of more than 260 ocean-going liners, which allows agents to easily see which ships offer what facilities.

The software, developed by Widgety, allows agents to look for specific information, such as which shps have speciality restaurants and theatres, which provide babysitting or have cabins that sleep three or more.

Agents can filter their search by company, ship, size of vessel and passenger capacity.

CLIA UK & Ireland director Andy Harmer said: "Meet the Fleet is an invaluable tool in helping agents answer specific queries raised by customers.

"We know the importance of knowledge when successfully selling cruise holidays and this digital fact file brings an enormous amount of information together in one place which is then easily searchable.

"With hundreds of cruise ships to choose from, this tool will help agents find the right cruise for the right customer which is essential for the continued growth of cruising."

Widgety creator Damian Gevertz said: "This latest development brings together our entire database of cruise information.

"Everything’s covered; from accommodation to deck plans, food and drink to new features onboard."
