Club Med appoints new North America CEO
Global all-inclusive resort group Club Med has named a new CEO for its North American and Caribbean business.
Carolyne Doyon assumes the role of chief executive and president with immediate effect.
She was most recently senior vice president of Canada and Mexico.
The North America regional business division encompasses a workforce of more than 3,000 employees and nine resorts.
Doyon leads the sales, operations and development activities across the region.
Doyon succeeds Xavier Mufraggi who held the position for more than a decade.
Mufraggi is now CEO for Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Doyon is tasked with growing capacity by 30% through 2021 across the region and oversees new openings including Club Med Miches Playa Esmeralda, Dominican Republic, and the company’s first resort in Canada, the Club Med Quebec Charlevoix.
According to Club Med president Henri Giscard D’Estaing, Doyon’s ‘sharp commercial expertise, and strong leadership will be instrumental to achieve the strategic goals of the North American division.’
Doyon joined Club Med in 2008 as a sales director.
