C&M appoints training and development head
Travel recruitment group, C&M, has appointed Debbie Thrift as head of training and development.
Thrift will be responsible for recruiting new consultants and will oversee a renewed focus on training and career development for existing staff.
C&M Managing Director Angus Chisholm explained: “In previous years, C&M has been named as one of the top 50 SMEs to work for in the UK in the Sunday Times top 100 business awards and we are working towards achieving even greater success in these awards next year.
‘We are also aiming to become REC (Recruitment and Employment Confederation) audited in 2008.
“With these two objectives firmly in mind, Debbie will lead a recruitment drive to find people with the right skills and attitude to join the C&M team, and will strengthen our in-house training and development programme to enrich the skills set of our existing consultants.”
Thrift joins from recruitment company, Adecco UK, where she was national permanent services development manager.
“It’s great to take on a role with such specific goals and I look forward to helping C&M meet its objectives – and hopefully exceed them,” she said.
Meanwhile, C&M appointment of Nicki Grant as consultant of its executive recruitment division.
She previously worked for Flight Centre as assistant recruitment manager.
