CMV adds cruise ship to fleet from 2017
CMV is adding a new cruise ship to its fleet from P&0 Cruises Australia to start on June 9, 2017.
Following the success of Magellan, the cruise line said it has decided to accelerate its mid-term growth.
Pacific Pearl will be re-named Columbus, under CMV’s explorer theme, and will be dedicated to the British cruise market with Tilbury as its home port.
She will carry about 1400 mainly British passengers accommodated in 775 cabins (including 150 singles) and will be targeted mainly to the adult only (16yrs plus) market
However in summer 2017, two August summer holiday sailings for all age groups will be available.
Christian Verhounig, CEO and Chairman of CMV said: "The strategic development of the Group’s presence in the UK and wider international markets will increase our overall capacity to 125,000 passengers in 2017."
The 2017 summer programme will go on sale via the travel trade and CMV website on Thursday March 31, 2016 with a special 2017 launch edition preview brochure being released on April 7, 2016.
