CNG signs more hotel chains
CNG Travel Group has struck distribution deals with three hotel groups.
Le Meridien, Rezidor SAS Hospitality and German group K&K add more than 440 hotels to the travel technology and services provider’s inventory of 25,000 properties.
CNG claims the agreements put it alongside online travel distributors such as Travelocity, Expedia and Hotel.com in the hotels sector.
The latest deals follow the signing of Sol Medlia and Swiss Quality Hotels last November.
CNG chief executive Finbar Power said: “We’re signing more and more hotel inventory becasue CNG’s model complments what hotels now demand of their distribution partners. Hotels get more business and control, while our cutomers get comptitive pricing with and impressive and growing range of hotels.”
Le Meridien worldwide e-commerce director Andrew Pozniak said: “We’ve been very open recently about the challenges posed by broadening internet distribution. This agreement fits with our distribution strategy exactly as it provides Le Meridien with access to additional routes to market whilst maintaining the flexibility of management and cost efficiencies.”
