Co-founder of America Online takes over Exclusive Resorts

Sunday, 23 Nov, 2004 0

Steve Case, co-founder of America Online, increased his majority ownership in Exclusive Resorts and has become Chairman of the company.

He will head up the largest luxury vacation residence portfolio in the consumer marketplace, according to the company.

Exclusive Resorts membership sales exceeded $250 million, and its portfolio of owned real estate has grown to over $600 million.

Said Mr Case:

“What attracted me a little over a year ago to acquire a controlling interest in the company is that Exclusive Resorts makes vacation homes more accessible and more affordable to more people, much as mortgages made home ownership possible for the public-at-large.”
