Cobham Aviation plane crashes into tower at Perth Airport
Investigations are continuing after a Cobham Aviation plane carrying 62 slammed into a light tower while taxiing at Perth Airport.
It collided with the structure as it was preparing to take off and suffered a damaged nose.
No passengers were injured, although a ‘massive jolt’ caused panic onboard, passengers said.
Perth Airport said the cause of the collision is thought to be faulty brakes.
"This incident has not impacted any other operations or services at Perth Airport," it said.
The plane was due to fly to the Goldfields region in Western Australia.
"Cobham is currently working with all the relevant authorities and will fully co-operate the investigation," the airline said.
