Comic arrested after police barge into London hotel room
Comedian Chris Ramsey was arrested in his hotel room in London by police following a mix-up over his identity.
Ramsey, who was due to appear at the Lyric Theatre to perform his show All Growed Up, tweeted that he was handcuffed wearing nothing but his underpants after police barged into his room at midnight.
The 29-year-old Geordie was later released after the police admitted there had been a case of mistaken identity.
Ramsey tweeted that the hotel receptionist had mistakenly identified him as the same man who had been in the hotel earlier threatening staff with a knife.
"I love the idea that someone who was in earlier threatening staff with a knife, would then check in later for a kip!" he tweeted.
