Compass puts Travelodge up for sale
Budget hotel brand Travelodge is to be sold by its parent company Compass Group, along with fellow subsidiary Little Chef.
Compass said it had decided to sell Travelodge – which is the UK’s second largest budget hotel company – because it wants to concentrate on its core foodservice business.
Travelodge consists of around 12,000 rooms in 220 hotels located on trunk roads, motorway networks and in major city centres.
The company is looking for separate buyers for the two businesses in order to get the most money from the disposals.
