Concorde Hotels & Resorts announce new General manager at Hotel Concorde Saint-Lazare
Concorde Hotels & Resorts are delighted to announce Claude Rath as the new General Manager at Hotel Concorde Saint-Lazare. Claude, 44, has a wealth of international travel and hotel industry experience and is looking forward to bringing this knowledge to this quintessentially Parisian hotel.
Rath began his career at the prestigious Savoy Hotel in London before moving to Mauritius in 1997 where he set up catering in several hotels for the Sun International Group and then became Catering Manager at the Dusit Laguna Resort Hotel in Thailand. It was in 2000 that Claude got his first General Manager position at the Beachcomber Group’s Mauricia Hotel in Mauritius.
In 2003, Rath was appointed Director of Operations at Méridien Montparnasse Hotel in Paris before once again heading off to the Far East in 2005, to become General Manager at Méridien Singapore Hotel. It was here that Rath succeeded in repositioning the property through the new Le Méridien brand image and steered it forwards within the Singaporean hotel market.
Rath is delighted to be the new General Manager at Hotel Concorde Saint-Lazare and explains, “Hotel Concorde Saint-Lazare is not like any other hotel. As soon as you step through the door, you sense that typical Parisian ambience steeped with its 120-year history. The challenge will be to match our guests’ expectations with the product we have on offer. The team we have is dynamic and efficient, which gives me reason to be fully confident for the future.â€
