Condor/Air Berlin faces further delay
The German cartel office has extended the deadline for the conclusion of a study into the planned merger between Thomas Cook-owned Condor and Air Berlin.
The process will now run for an additional two months after the German Bundeskartellamt [Federal Cartel Office] called for more time to complete its primary evaluation process into the deal between the two German carriers.
A new deadline of August 11 has been set.
“Discussions between Air Berlin, Thomas Cook and the Federal Cartel Office case team regarding the acquisition are continuing,” a Thomas Cook statement said.
