Consultants offered Cruise360 package
SYDNEY – The International Cruise Council Australasia has joined forces with its US counterpart, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), to offer Australian and New Zealand cruise consultants the opportunity to attend the high-profile North American cruise industry conference, Cruise360.
In a first for the Council, ICCA general manager Brett Jardine said the organisation would escort a group of ICCA accredited consultants to attend the five-day conference, to be held in Vancouver, Canada, from June 2-6.
“In global terms, the Australian cruise market is still very young, so we think this exposure to the world’s leading cruise market – North America – will be incredibly valuable for our agent members,†Jardine said.
Jardine negotiated the Australian presence at Cruise360 during a meeting with CLIA Executive Vice President Bob Sharak in the US late last year.
Cruise360 features general sessions with US-based cruise industry executives, a business-oriented trade show with one-on-one appointments, technology and destination training, cruise ship inspections and the opportunity to network with cruise industry personnel.
The special ICCA conference package is priced at A$1950 per person twin share, including Cruise360 registration, five nights’ accommodation in Vancouver plus two nights post conference in Whistler.
Airfares are additional, with Council affiliate member Air New Zealand offering a special group fare.
