Cosmos and Co-operative Travel end joint venture
Cosmos and the Co-operative Travel have ended their joint tour operation following the announcement of the latter’s merger with Thomas Cook.
In a joint statement, the parties said the deal forged last year was ending by mutual consent.
Customers already booked to travel up to October 31 will not be affected by the change but no further bookings will be taken from November 1.
Customers booked to travel from November 1 onwards will be offered alternative arrangements.
The statement went on: "New commercial arrangements regarding the supply of Cosmos packaged holidays, accommodation and wider opportunities for Monarch flying are under discussion and both parties are looking forward to further developing the commercial relationship, particularly in the light of the announcement of the merger of The Co-operative Travel’s high street travel business with that of Thomas Cook."
