Cosmos reveals which airlines will fly its customers this summer

Cosmos Holidays has confirmed the majority of its flying this summer will be on Monarch, despite the latter ditching charters and long-haul operations at the end of the winter season to become a dedicated scheduled, short-haul leisure airline.

Several of Monarch’s historic charter routes have been converted to scheduled services, which Cosmos will continue to use.

However, the tour operator has also taken seats on a number of other airlines, including Norwegian Air which will be operating its flights from Gatwick to Florida on its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Cosmos will also use Enter Air, which will operate flights from Manchester and Birmingham to Greece, and Small Planet, which will operate specific routes from Gatwick to Greece.

Seats on these flights will also be available to buy as flight only through Monarch’s seat-only division, Avro.

Monarch’s tour operating division sales director Gary Anslow said: “Our summer programme continues to be as extensive as ever, covering all of the popular destinations in the eastern and western Mediterranean, as well as Florida and other key long haul destinations such as Mexico and the Maldives.

“Our aim in choosing our partners has been to ensure that our customers get the excellent level of service they expect when taking a Cosmos Holiday – we are very happy that this will be the case.”

Anslow said the majority of Cosmos’ customers would still fly with Monarch. “However destinations that were previously serviced by Monarch charters will now be with our new partner airlines, or on other scheduled airlines.”
