Courtyard by Marriott coming to Komodo
Marriott International will bring the Courtyard by Marriott brand to the up and coming island of Flores in Indonesia.
Situated in Labuan Bajo, it is the jumping off point for the Komodo National Park, home to the legendary Komodo Dragon and world-class scuba diving sites.
Slated to open in 2021, it will have 158 rooms and suites, two swimming pools, a kids’ club, a fitness centre, meeting space and restaurants.
The hotel will be about one hour from the UNESCO rated national park.
"Labuan Bajo is home to diverse marine life and is listed as one of the 10 destinations in the Indonesian government’s tourism development plan. This is a very opportune time to team up with Marriott International in opening the Courtyard by Marriott Labuan Bajo Komodo Resort," said Lana Jong, chairwoman of development partner Terra Komodo Bakti.
