Covid passports will still be valid for international travel even though they are to be scrapped for domestic use at venues and other public facilities in England.
There use will no longer be recommended within England from April 1 meaning venues may no longer ask for vaccination status.
It will however remain in the NHS app for overseas travel.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson unveiled the latest changes as part of the ‘living with Covid’ transition.
It sees the removal of all domestic restrictions including the legal need to self-isolate after a positive test from February 24.
Self-isolation support payments will also end, as will free testing for most people.
"Until April 1 we will still advise people who test positive to stay at home but after that we will encourage people with Covid-19 symptoms to exercise personal responsibility," Johnson said.
He also said the Passenger Locator Form requirement will be reviewed before Easter.
Meanwhile, the European Council outlined plans to simplify travel in Europe for Brits.
All fully-vaccinated travellers would be allowed to travel across the EU without testing.
