Creative Holidays launch Kenya package

Friday, 11 Dec, 2007 0

As part of its new Africa program in 2008 Creative Holidays has launched a Visit Kenya School in Kenya package, designed to offer consultants the opportunity to offer their clients the chance to see a different side of Kenya and make a difference to the local children of the area.

Located on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kibera is one of the largest shanty towns in Africa with close to one million people living in an area of about 2.5 square kilometers. The people of Kibera live without proper access to power, water or sanitation. There are also only a few government funded schools in Kibera and the fees are much too high for most of the areas residents.

To help the other children receive at least a basic education, a number of informal schools have been opened throughout the town by locals. These schools rely on volunteer teachers and the donations of members and well wishers.

Creative Holidays is offering Australian travellers the chance to visit one of these schools and spend the day assisting the teachers and children with their work, as well as playing and talking with them.

Creative Holidays’ Visit a School in Kenya package is priced from $205 per person, twin share (land only) which includes return transfers from your clients’ Nairobi hotel, picnic lunch, the guidance of a Help Kenya escort on arrival in Kibera who will take them to and from the school, as well as a donation to Kibera.

This unique day will offer your clients the chance to see a different side to life in Kenya – an amazingly rewarding experience for both your clients and the local children.

This package is valid for travel until December, 2008.

Creative Holidays’ Africa holiday program is a comprehensive information source and research tool to help you plan your holiday and features impartial destination information supplied by Lonely Planet including temperature charts, country and area maps, event details, currency and dining information, travel facts, country highlights and much more throughout.
