Crew member breaks down on one of last ever Thomas Cook flights
In a day of tearful stories, Tweets, posts and videos, this footage of one of the last ever Thomas Cook flights is surely one of the most emotional.
Taken on a flight shortly after it landed at Manchester Airport, and shared on YouTube by passenger Andrew Whitmore via Storyful, the video includes a heat-felt farewell from a member of the cabin crew, who first thanked all the crew onboard for ‘operating in such a professional manner all the way back to the UK, getting you all back here, safe and sound’.
At one point too chocked up to speak, ‘Andy’ is cheered on by passengers. He goes on to say: "You’ll be the last people to be on this aircraft, so please have a safe onward journey."
His words are echoed by that of the pilot of more than 25 years.
