Crocodile blamed for air crash
An escaped crocodile hidden in a passenger’s duffel bag set off a panic that caused a plane crash in the Democratic Republic of Congo, reported MSNBC News.
The crocodile “went berserk aboard the flight,” said The Sun of London. Terrified passengers stampeded towards the cockpit, causing the small aircraft to lose balance and crash.
Only one person survived the crash, which claimed the lives of 20 others on board what newspaper reports describe as a Czech-made small plane
The incident happened on a flight from the Congolese capital of Kinshasa to a regional airport at Bandundu.
The crocodile survived.
