Cruise add-on business ceases trading
Shorex Travel, which sold cruise add-ons and excursions, has ceased trading after less than two years.
The company, founded by ex-Cadogan Holidays staff Tom Allen and Doug Mathieson, posted a message on its website thanking travel agents for their "fantastic support".
Allen said Shorex was unable to continue in the tough economic climate. The company, which launched a dedicated travel agents’ website only a year ago, had been selling excursions and accommodation at European and US ports.
Agents have been advised to re-book customers with other companies.
