A cruise information service for agents by text has been set up by the Association of Cruise Experts.
The new AskACE service is designed to help agents with cruise enquiries, particularly information that will assist during the sales process.
The text service is being introduced as part of a range of measures to help agent members through the present challenging economic times, the organisation said.
Other measures planned this year by ACE include new online training courses geared towards helping agents build their business, new training sessions at regional Cruise Expo events and the second National Cruise Week on September 20-27.
ACE director Andy Harmer said: “Having access to the most up-to-date and relevant cruise information is an important part of selling cruise holidays and since everyone has access to a mobile phone, we hope the new text service will make our cruise information and resources much more accessible to everyone.”
