Two new categories have been added to this year’s Cruise Excellence Awards, organised by CLIA UK and Ireland.

Awards have been introduced for Online Travel Agent of the Year and Young Travel Agent of the Year.

"There are many agents selling cruise holidays who deserve recognition for the great work they do," said CLIA UK and Ireland director Andy Harmer.

"They are our advocates and play a huge part in helping us grow the size of the cruise sector."

Nominations are now open for the awards, which will be presented at a dinner on Columbus Day on September 19 in Liverpool.

The seven awards this year are:

Cruise Homeworker of the Year
Online Cruise Travel Agency of the Year
High Street Cruise Travel Agency of the Year
Innovation Cruise Award
Travel Agent of the Year
Young Travel Agent of the Year
Outstanding Contribution to the UK Cruise Industry

The deadline for entries is Friday August 16. For further information visit www.cruiseexperts.org
