Cruise port reopens as Cozumel recovers
The cruise port of Cozumel, Mexico, reopened to passenger ships this week, and tourism officials portray recovery on a fast track in the wake of Hurricane Wilma last month.
About a dozen cruise ships are set to return to the area this week.
Airlines have also resumed service or announced start-up of flights for the winter season.
Both Mexicana Airlines and Continental are flying into Cozumel. American is expected to resume flights next month.
Electric and water service has been returned to 90% of the island, said tourism officials.
Some hotels remain closed but re-openings are being made regularly.
