Cruise ship attack leads to overboard death
The body of a cruise ship crew member was recovered from the sea after a ‘dispute’ turned violent.
The incident happened aboard Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas between two crew members, who are both South African nationals.
Neither have been officially named yet.
It happened it Bahamas territorial waters late last week.
A 35-year-old man stabbed a 28-year-old woman and fled by apparently jumping overboard.
The Royal Bahamas Police Force said the woman survived and is in a stable condition.
She suffered multiple stab wounds to her upper body.
A Royal Caribbean spokesperson would only say the incident was due to a ‘personal dispute.’
