Cruise ship delayed by strike in Vancouver sets sail
Passengers on the Alaska-bound cruise ship are finally on their way after being stranded on the ship the Port of Vancouver overnight.
The one day delay was caused by a labor dispute at a tugboat company. Celebrity Eclipse was attached to a barge but port crew refused to remove it due to the dispute with Canadian Merchant Service Guild members.
Celebrity is doing ‘everything in our power to make up for the lost time ‘although it cancelled a stop at Icy Strait.
Guests will receive onboard credit equal to 1.5 days for the inconvenience.
