Cruise Week sets sail
National Cruise Week launches on September 7 with more than 2,000 travel agencies the length and breadth of Britain pushing the boat out.
One and a half million Brits are expected to take a cruise this year and the choice and diversity of cruising has never been greater – from intimate, ultra luxury yachts to floating passenger ‘resorts’ offering everything from rock climbing and bowling to surfing and swimming. And with cruise ships visiting almost 2,000 ports around the world, there’s a destination for everyone.
The first ever National Cruise Week will run from September 7-14 and has been organised by the Association of Cruise Experts (ACE), the trade organisation representing agents selling cruise. Thousands of travel agents throughout the country will be holding a wide variety of events to promote cruising and highlighting the huge choice of destinations open to today’s cruisers.
National Cruise Week also supports the work of WWF in protecting marine species and the oceans in which they live. Designated travel agents have committed to adopting a dolphin on behalf of customers buying a cruise holiday, helping WWF to safeguard the future of the species.
