Cruises in Alabama running at 100% booked
Carnival Cruise Lines extended its contract to continue to operate year-round, four-and-five-day cruises from the Mobile, Alabama, Cruise Terminal.
Carnival originally signed a one-year contract with the city of Mobile for the 1,452-passenger Holiday late last year.
“Response to Mobile’s first cruise program has been nothing short of sensational, exceeding our already high expectations,” said Bob Dickinson, president and CEO of Carnival.
Said Mobile Mayor Mike Dow:
“Mobile’s vision of becoming an exciting and competitive cruise ship homeport was made a reality when Carnival’s Holiday was home-ported on the riverfront last year.”
The Carnival ship makes four-day cruises to Cozumel and five-day trips to Cozumel and Calica/Playa del Carmen or Costa Maya.
The ship has been sailing in excess of 100% capacity.
