Cruising returns to Canada
Canada has welcomed a large international cruise ship for the first time in more than two years. Ogden Point in Victoria BC, welcomed more than 1,200 passengers on Holland America’s Koningsdam at the weekend.
The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority expects large cruise ships will bring in about 780,000 visitors this year, spending roughly $140 million.
Caribbean Princess was supposed to be the first ship to dock earlier last week but cancelled due to extended dry dock work.
