Cruising to the World Cup with Holland America
JOHANNESBURG – Sports Tours specialist Cyclone Group has been named as official agent for Australasia to the “One Ocean Club†concept on board the Holland America Line cruise ships during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
Sister ships, MS Noordam and MS Westerdam are rated among the Top-20 cruise ships in the world.
During the World Cup, Noordam and Westerdam will be sailing between the ports of Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Durban.
Both Australia’s Socceroos and New Zealand’s All Whites have reached the World Cup finals.
The One Ocean Club “cruise flotel†is a proven concept from the 2004 Athens Olympics, and for 2010, guests will stay on one of the most secure luxury clubs and hotels in South Africa, whilst never being more than a 15 minute transfer from port to the stadiums.
Kirsty Parry, marketing manager of Cyclone Group said, “Cyclone Group guests will benefit from the complete set of infrastructure in place, including 24-hour transfers, shuttle services and VIP security.â€
Demand for accommodation is already running high and soccer supporters can make provisional bookings now, before the finals draw on December 4.
