An episode of the BAFTA-award winning TV show Cruising with Jane McDonald has been filmed onboard Emerald Waterways and will be screened on April 19.

The show will feature the TV star enjoying a trip aboard the 112-passenger Emerald Radiance (above), sailing from Porto to Salamanca in Spain along the Douro.

She will also stay in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, where she will visit a factory making traditional Portuguese custard tarts (pastel de nata), take a tasting tour of Porto’s famous port cellars as well as pay a visit to the Casa de Mateus in Vila Real and try her hand at tile painting.

David Winterton, head of marketing UK & global brand curator, Emerald Waterways, said: "It’s great that Channel 5 and Jane have chosen Emerald Waterways for this latest show. We were delighted to host Jane and the team. Everyone loved having her on board and we are looking forward to sharing her cruise with the nation."
