Crystal Ski appoints new MD
Crystal Ski has appointed a new managing director from outside the travel industry.
Digital specialist Tamsin Todd, who is currently global head of ecommerce at Betfair, will join the company in January.
She will report to former managing director Simon Cross, who has been made president of TUI Ski and Marine.
Cross, who has been MD at Crystal Ski for three years, will continue to report to Mathew Prior, MD of Specialist Holidays Group, part of TUI Travel.
After graduation from Princeton University and Imperial College London, Todd started her career as a Wall Street analyst before becoming a journalist writing on travel, culture and business topics.
She started her digital career at Amazon where she was part of the original team in the UK introducing advertising and strategic partnerships as well as leading the customer relationship management team in Europe.
She then worked in product marketing for Microsoft’s search engine Bing in the UK, and led the commercial launch of MSN Shopping into Europe before joining Betfair.
"Tamsin’s great strength in the key area of digital and her experience across other business disciplines combined with her love of skiing will ensure that Crystal Ski Holidays continues to drive forward from its position of strength within the UK and Irish ski market," said Cross.
